It's not long until spring will be upon us, so now is the time to start preparing.

As you know spring is all about pretty, fresh, bright and girly looks, so let us help you unlock the secrets to get a healthy and glowing skin this spring. Here are some Beauty Tips for Healthy Skin in the spring and summer seasons.

You'll want to do a deep moisturizing treatment for both your hair and your skin to rehydrate after the dryness from winter. After winter, dead skin cells may leave your face looking dull. Use a peeling or sloughing mask to bring back the glow. Try a steam treatment or a nice facial from us here at Hands On Beauty. Healthy, glowing skin is the ticket for spring.

Avoid Exposure to Sun:
Whenever you're out of the house, the most important tip to keep in mind is to apply sunscreen liberally on to your body parts which are exposed to sun especially in the spring/summer seasons. Harmful UV rays from the sun are very effective throughout the daytime. More exposure to these harmful rays may cause many serious skin problems and other problems like premature aging, appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. Use sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 and apply it every day before makeup.

Change your skincare routine:
In spring your skin doesn't require as much moisturiser as in winter. Go for some light moisturiser for your skin to keep its pores clear. Face cleansing at least two times per day is good. Look for a milder gel formula than a cream, which will gently clean your face without irritating skin. Using a hydrating cream and applying it under makeup is also a good idea. Also try a hydrating facial mask twice a week, to strengthen, soothe and balance your skin.

Drink More Water:
Drinking lots of water is a sure short method to beautiful skin. With spring becoming warmer your skin starts sweating, so your body needs more water to remain hydrated. Wherever you go, remember to carry a water bottle along with you, to avoid the possibility of dehydration. Water is the best way to restore fluids in your body and attain a glowing skin.

For spring 2010 the following colours will work well for nail polish, eye shadows and fashion.

• Coral
• Violet/ purples
• Pink Champagne/ light pink colours
